Neil Kummer made Aliyah to Israel in 1978, inspired by a transformative Tashlich ceremony while studying at Wesleyan University. That moment ignited a lifelong passion for building Zion and helping Jews return home.
While in graduate school, a late project deadline led to an unexpected opportunity – and from that, Kef International was born. What began as a small venture importing appliances for new immigrants soon evolved into a full-scale Aliyah shipping and relocation company, helping thousands of families move their belongings, dreams, and lives to Israel.
When Israeli import taxes dropped and appliances became easier to buy locally, Neil pivoted Kef’s focus toward international moving, relocation logistics, and Aliyah shipping – anticipating the growing need for expert support as more Jews chose to make Israel their home.
For over four decades, Neil and Kef International have been trusted partners for Olim, diplomats, and families relocating worldwide, known for transparent service, door-to-door delivery, and a personal touch.
Neil’s passion goes beyond logistics – it’s about people and purpose. He often says, “Helping Jews come home is good for the Jewish people.” Over the years, even his most challenging clients have become close friends. One memorable story includes shipping an entire yurt to Israel for a family seeking to live close to nature.
